What are the roles of hydrogen bonds and covalent bonds in the structure of DNA?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

hydrogen bonding holds together the DNA strange, while the covalent bonds hold the atoms that make DNA. The ribose sugar of DNA is mainly covalent bonding. The bonding of the nitrogenous base (whether it be A, T, G, or C) to another is through hydrogen bond. Guanine and Cytosine bond through 3 hydrogen bonds, while A ant T are bonded by 2.
