OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

both triangle ADB and DBC r right angle triangle... considering 2 triangle ADB and triangle DBC AD = DC ( data ) angle ADB = angle BDC = 90 degree ( AD is perpendicular to AC) AD is common for both triangles therefor the 2 triangle r congruent (SAS)

how would i write this in a statment-reason chart?

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

|dw:1391497567696:dw| to be honest .. i have never wrote them in statement - reason charts.. but it should be like this... but if u r doubtful i suggest u to ask from someone like @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks Isuru, @ganeshie8 is this correct?

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

@shamil98

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

1. \(\large BD \perp AC\) 1. Given 2. \(\angle BDA\) and \(\angle BDC\) are right angles 2. definition of perpendicularity 3, \(\large AD \cong DC\) 2. Definition of bisector 4. \(\large \angle BDA \cong \angle BDC\) 3. all right angles are congruent 5. \(\large BD \cong BD\) 5. By reflexive property 6. \(\triangle ABD \cong \triangle CBD\) 6. By SAS congruence

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

ive just converted the ISURU's paragraph proof to a two column proof see if that makes sense :)

thanks so much both of you :) proofs are not something im very good at, but this helps!
