a torque problem..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

leng of boom is 10M

OpenStudy (anonymous):

F2's direction.. i think its clockwise..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

F1's direction is counter

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

What do we need to find here ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the weight of the boom

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

Is the system in equilibrium ?? If not, please show the direction of rotation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a rotational equilibrium

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i think the weight is constant ... it's meaningless to talk about weight ... rather you calculate the torque or ... force applied on the point you are talking about.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculate the torque..

OpenStudy (experimentx):

what is the mass of the bolt? is it massless? ... i also presume it's rectangular in shape

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its massless i think.. it would revolve the boom since the boom is attached to the bolt.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

*uniform mass

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

"F2's direction.. i think its clockwise.." "F1's direction is counter" Do you mean to say - |dw:1391523298142:dw|
