Creationism Vs. Evolution: The Debate Is Live Tonight Watch Bill Nye the Science guy debate (i.e. destroy lol) Australian young-Earth creationist Ken Ham. http://debatelive.org

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Let's go Ken Ham and Creationism!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm watching that!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*going to

OpenStudy (aaronq):

@Xmoses1 lol you can't be serious

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bill Nye will de-nye Ham the right to win lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hahaha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol a sort of "medal exchange" right there

OpenStudy (aaronq):

haha well you made a good pun

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks lol

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Im all for creationism. I dont see any valid points in evolution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do... haven't you been through 7th and 8th and 9th grade?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh well, I understand people have different beliefs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not going to argue with that.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

ok so i do school through a christian program... So i guess my education is a little one sided

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh that explains it. never mind then lol

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

doesn't it seem that the odds for everything that makes us lives perfectly compatible are impossible to come by chance?? It doesn't make very much sense that everything that we are today came from a pile of goop.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well like I said everybody has different beliefs. but anyway it started with RNA-based bacteria which evolved into DNA-based and so on. and besides, fossil evidence totally supports evolution. This is turning into an Aurora vs. Moses debate instead of Bill Nye vs. Ken Ham! lol

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Haha i dont have the fact for sure to prove you wrong so you would win :P Oh well i guess well see how the debate plays out right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yeah :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"doesn't it seem that the odds for everything that makes us lives perfectly compatible are impossible to come by chance" i think you're looking at it in the wrong way. Improbable events happen all the time. For example, winning the lottery, a HIGHLY improbable event, yet, someone still wins it every week. Similarly, variation is organisms arises by chance (e.g. through mutations) but the reason these changes stay is because they are functional and give an advantage to that organism. Thats why everything seem so "perfect" and fit to it's environment, but we are far from perfect (otherwise we wouldn't have any diseases, etc).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g2g, bye guys :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

see ya ~

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

bye aurora :)

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Yeah that does make sense...

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

And we adapt to the different environments, causing variations in species

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yep! exactly. And if this occurred over millions (more like billions) of years, imagine what could happen.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

yeah when you say it actually sounds probable... I kind of feel guilty for acknowledging that validity lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

haha don't feel guilty. It just makes sense and why most people who are able to understand the theory as it is accept it.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Alright :)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

What if... the beginning of evolution was created? o.o -sits back-

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... -Puts finger on chin and looks toward the sky in thought-
