I will award medal! HELP!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!! Suppose that y varies jointly with x and x inversely with z and y=540 when w=15, x=30, and z=5. Write the equation that models the relationship. y=6x/wz y=x/6wz y=6wx/z y=z/6wx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the formula is y=wxk/z and I can figure out k but I can't put it all together. HELP PLEASE!

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, you managed 540 = (15)(30)k/5 so that k = 540*5/(15*30) = 6 Now, your variation formula is y = wx(6)/z It is substitution only.

Oooh - that's the part I'm missing. Thank you!
