Two number cubes are rolled. What is the probability that the sum of the numbers rolled is either a 3 or an 8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1,2) (2,1) (2,6) (6,2) (3,5) (5,3) (4,4) how many is that out of 36 possibilities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand what you want me to do? @sourwing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

possible outcome is 36 favarable outcome is 7 so P = 7/36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sourwing do i have to reduce ? because its not an option the only options are 7/10, 4/5, 3/10, 1/10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure those are the choices? 7/36 should be the correct answer and it can not be reduced further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im sorry that was for a different problem @sourwing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha i knew it :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):
