Hi uhm can someone help me come up with a good persuasive essay talking about whether or not romeo and Juliet's love was true love or merely infatuated I'm a new 9th grader and need help before February 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you remember about the Story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say infatuation, dumb love. How they died was impractical and gave me a headache.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That they 43two star crossed lovers and that they can't be tougher cause they are in the middle of there family's feud between each other and yes uhm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry meant that they were

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I start thus persuasive essay off off and omg it has to be 4 pages

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Meant this ughh hate my tablet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, set font size to 34, next put on double spacing, then make everything bold.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K got that set up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok just kidding lol, no need to do that, but how many words are necessary?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4pages full and typed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 font?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes and double spaced just like u said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah ok, well like I said, bring out the conflict within the family, how the love began, the main aspects of they're love, was it more of a physical attraction or deeper than that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@beccaboo333 @thomaster Are also good points of reference.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhm I think it was a some what physical attraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so, would you call just physical attraction true love?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I call that Infatuation with ones physique.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey @beccaboo333 !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree cause to be honest he doesn't really know what love is he just wants to love and for love to love back lol confusing but practically true have u read the book before

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I can't help you with this sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@linda3 !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My friend is very smart, she could also provide you with good intel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello? Linda3 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She's probably about to blow our minds...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh lol

OpenStudy (linda3):

okay have ever read Romeo and Juliet? If not- you should read it. If you have no time I suggest you go to a website called Sparknotes which gives you the main idea of the story. Now in writing you want to pick a side. Either you think their love was true love or you think it was merely a stupid love. I personally think their love wasn't true due to the fact that they only loved each other for themselves. They didn't see love beyond a physical pleasure, they only saw love as something lustful and no life after that. So that being said you need to convince your reader why you think so. Give examples. Give a definition of what true love is. You need to be strong in your essay to convince your reader why you chose your way of thinking. Do some research and discover more books that show the perfect example of true love. Now in my opinion of true love is dying to one's self for the love of the other person- not to be confused with committing suicide because you can't have the other person as your love. True love is sacrificing everything for the other person and being happy you did so. Like lets say you like someone but that person didn't like you back- if you loved them so much you'd let them go so that they could be happy. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. Just give lots of examples and reasons to explain your reasonings in your essay. I hope this Helps! and I wish you the best of luck! :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, you will need to take a position, explain what it is briefly, then defend it. That is basically what this form of essay is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I...was...right.... Mind officially Blown!

OpenStudy (linda3):

lol... yeah... >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P Wow, now everyone is here...

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The intro and thesis should basically be your position with the shortest forms of your reasons. Hints at them without explanations. Then you build with the explanatons. Include a counter argument, why someone would disagree with you, and explain why you can not agree OR admit some flaws but state that you feel your argument is stronger. For example, there are stories of people that met, fell in love, and stayed married for the next 60 years. So why would R+J not be that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks u guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np. :P Thanks Linda!

OpenStudy (linda3):

Your welcome!!! :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

np. That should be enough to get you started. When you get something done, you can ask people to proof it if you want.

:P
