y-2=-1/2(x-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know how to find the points on the graph for this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first put that equation in the form of y = mx+b to make it simpler can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-1/2x+5/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-2 = -1/2x+5/2 -- add 2 to both sides +2 +2 y = -1/2x+9/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't it 7/2 not 9/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you have it in y=mx+b b is the y intercept which one of the point would be (0, 9/2) next find the x intercept by turning y into zero and solving for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you need to find LCD before add 5/2 and 2 so when you find the LCD it would be 5/2+4/2 that equals 9/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo ok
