Can someone please help me? :) I attached a picture, if that helps. I think the answer is D, but I think the order of the variables matters. For f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x^2-7, find (f-g)(x).

It's D, and the order of variables doesn't matter, but it would look better if ordered according to decreasing power of x.
