Fist person got this answer will get a fan and a medal Ok, a diver scores at a diving competition were 9.25, 6.85,8.5 and 9.05, what is was his total score

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. My sister does diving. She would know. I know for each individual dive the highest and lowest judges' scores are taken off right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And.. Do you know his total score

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know the formula for calculating it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, me too, I got homework that say that and I don't know how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait... math homework and teachers who expect you to know the formula for calculating that? Wow, tough school! Just kidding, haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I found this: http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Diving-Scores

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd need the degree of difficulty of the dives, if you know them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool! But I don't has time, tomorrow is the last day to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh well, then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait.. What grade that you in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9th, math 11th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would add up all of the scores so, 9.25+ 6.85 + 8.5 + 9.05. Or if you want the average score you would do the same thing and then divide by 4 ( The number of scores the diver had received)
