Can someone explain the difference between a tree and a non tree?

I read this but i cant see how the example trees are different.

what do you mean by non tree? it can refer to anything that is not a tree. It can refer to an elephant for example...

please explain the question better.

Thats okay. i just realized its because it has a cycle, so its not a tree.
