herbivore refers to the animals which only feed on plants.... 

so in a food chain the organism which is just at the second trophic level of the food chain would be the example of herbivore,cos in every case the first would be plants
and the one who "only" feeds on plants needs to be at the second trophic level...

so.. i actually cannot see the food chain anywhere.... but let me make one to make it more clear to you

in this one... the goat is a herbivore..
