Final Draft I knew I should have listened to my mother, but there is no going back now... I am Proserpina queen of the underworld. It all started that day when I asked my mother if I could go for a walk, she allowed me to go but very specifically stated that I mustn't go into the forest; I went into the forest against my mother's word and I saw a plant, the most beautiful plant I have ever seen... I knew I shouldn't go towards it but I couldn't help myself... I was just so drawn to it. I went up to the plant, I decided I would take it and plant it for my mother back home; So I pulled at the plant, and each time I did a hole opened up in the ground bigger and bigger until a man in a chariot came along. I thought I should call for my mother, but I knew it was no use and no one would hear me anyhow. The man asked me to go for a ride, so I went. So here I was now, riding in a chariot with a man I have no knowledge about. He tried very hard to comfort me and make me feel safe, He insisted that he would not harm me and he told me about beautiful flowers, pearls, diamonds and rubies that he had. Then he introduced himself as Plato, the king of diamonds and all other precious stones. He told me all his palace needed was a maid to cheer the rooms with her smile, this alone was intriguing and concerning at the same time. He took me away, from everything I knew... from my dear mother. He had the nerve to bring me to a river, which that if I drank from I would forget about my mother and no longer be burdened by the thought of being away from her. I refused! I will never forget my mother, and I would rather sadly miss her than to happily forget her, and from that moment on when I realized I wasn’t going back home, I promised Pluto I would never drink or eat anything again as long as I shall live, being trapped in that palace.
