The image below shows two dilated figures with lines AB and CD drawn. If the larger figure is dilated using a scale factor of 3, what relationship do lines AB and CD have? Would this relationship hold true for all dilations?

I do not know their current relation. But if CD was originally 2 times longer than AD then after it is dilated by a factor of 3, it will become 6 times bigger

Maybe it means they are parallel. If that is the case then, then they will always be parallel no matter how much they are shrunk or expanded
