how do i write 19/3 as a mixed number?

Think of how many times three will evenly go into 19. It's 18/3 = 6. You would have needed two more (1/3)'s to make another three, (as in, 21/3 = 7). But you only have one (1/3). Then the mixed number is 6 + 1/3
