if the mean of this data is 95, find the missing data 103,99,90,86,105,96,_?_ how would you find the missing data?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in order to find the mean you add up all the numbers and divide by the number of numbers so do the opposite... you know there are 6 numbers but one is left out so the number of numbers would by 7 sooo the opposite of division is multiplication so multiply (95)(7) which is 665 then subtract all the given data from 665 665-99-90-86-105-96=189 so the answer is 189!!

does that make sense
