HELP PLEASE MEDAL AND FANS AWARDED solve for x under the assumption that x>0 enter your answer in interval notation with grouping symbols. x-7/x<-6

OpenStudy (ladiesman217):

@ajprincess can you help me please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x-\frac{ 7 }{ x }<-6\] \[\frac{ x ^{2}-7 }{ x }<-6\] Now x can be negative or positive. So we have to solve the 2 possibilities. 1. If its negative multiplying on both sides will change the less than to greater than. 2. If its positive its ok.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x ^{2}-7<-6x\] \[x ^{2}+6x-7<0\]
