Aircraft carriers, subs, and battleships weren't new technology by the time the bombing campaign over Japan began -- both Japan and the US had those for years. That leaves only (B) B-29s as the right answer. The B-29, in short, was the most sophisticated bomber of its time with the range and payload power needed to conduct the kind of attacks the US military wanted to wage from the air. The bombers that dropped the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki were also B-29s. So Yes B!(:
