Anyone familiar with this? 1. Analytical ultracentrifugation is a versatile tool for the study of protein-protein and membrane protein interactions. Briefly describe how you would use ultracentrifugation, in the presence of a density gradient, to determine the extent to which a protein existed as a dimer or a tetramer. 2. How might you use analytical centrifugation to determine the dissociation constant between a monomeric protein and a tetrameric state, assuming the kinetics are on the millisecond timescale?
