Question 1: What do you think about the use of medals?

My answer: I think they are somewhat overused because, when people just give the answer to a question (which they aren't supposed to) the asker of the question and everyone else who views it gives them a medal. But, when a person explains it step-by-step, they do not get a medal. I believe that many users overuse and do not use the "granting" of medals correctly or resourcefully. Now, usually 3-4 times a day, I see people giving the answer to the question and asking "medal?". That is why I believe that medals are being overused and not for the right purpose.
