Well i found this according to Yahoo answers:

The Articles of Confederation were filled with holes, when it comes to making a modern nation. It didn't allow for a national army, but instead relied on state militias, which is very dangerous. It gave very little power to the Federal Government if a crisis were to occur, or needs had to be met; a few reluctant states could hold up everything for everyone.
There was no national currency, so there was no real stability to the money of the country, and it also made commerce difficult, even within national borders.
