What if Kate reads 90 pages is 6 days. how long will it take to read 300 pages

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Using units of measurement may help you to ensure that you obtain a reasonable and correct answer. You are told that Kate reads 90 pages in 6 days. That's her reading rate. You could treat that as a proportion. 90 pages 300 pages -------- = ----------- 6 days x days Are you able to solve that for x? What will x represent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

300/(90/6)=20

OpenStudy (mathmale):

TWD: Again, what does that 20 represent? What are the correct units of measurement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20 days

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90/6=15 pages per day 300 pages/15 pages per day = 20 days

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Answer: "It will take Kate 20 days to read 300 pages." TWD: I see you've gone offline. Did your computer crash or your Internet connection fail? Please let others know if and when you intend to go offline.

@mathmale Sorry if there was any confusion. Equation Editor is not working with my Chrome browser; It does work with the Firefox browser today. I was running some tests this morning and had to log on and then log off for both browsers.
