When reading ECG, I always get confuse with the P and the T wave. Is there any way to distinguish these 2 waves?

OpenStudy (secret66):

P-waves: A P-wave, or compressional wave, is a seismic body wave that shakes the ground back and forth in the same direction and the opposite direction as the direction the wave is moving. (earthquake) T-waves: A T-wave is the bit on a owlet or doob between twos (Half of it) http://www.biology.lifeeasy.org/953/what-is-the-difference-between-p-wave-and-t-wave Hope this helps :)

sometimes when reading ecg, the P wave can overlap with T wave, and i have no idea to distinguish if the peak is a P wave or T wave. Do you have any idea.
