Meiosis is involved in cell division, the change in ploidy of the cell from 2n to n, that is the number of chromosomes that result in the cells at the end of the process will be halved. This occurs during the formation of gametes, for example. My answer to your question would have been gamete cells (i suppose its D). Hope it helps. =)

I find it quite weird, it could have been B as well, still i would have gone for D because i can't find any other process that account for the formation of gametes.
