OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2^{x}=256\]

OpenStudy (mrnood):

you know 2^2 = 4 2^3=8 etc What power do you raise 2 to get 256 The solution is to use logarithm Take log of both sides of equation Then use the fact the log(a^b) = b log a in this case you will find the answer is a whole number (integer)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, what do i need to do to find what power i rase 2 to get 256

OpenStudy (mrnood):

exactly what I said above -

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so its going to be 8?

OpenStudy (mrnood):
