A parallelogram has the vertices (0, 3), (3, 0), (0, -3) and (-3, 0). Determine what type of parallelogram. Find the perimeter and area

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you graph it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did but im not sure i graphed it correctly, when i did it came up as a diamond with a perimeter of 12, and an area of 9?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So that would be a rhombus. Find the length of one side and multiply it by 4. That will be the perimeter.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The area is the length of the diagonal multiplied together and divided by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do the area again? im confused

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Oh. I see it is a square.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So each side is 3sqrt2 so the area is 9x2=18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)
