Why are some sounds considered music and other sounds considered noise?

um my opinion on this is the way you hear it example people banging on the trash cans some people see that sound as music and others take thats sound as noise thats the best i can describe it

i guess its peoples' opinion and take on the rhythm and sound . The way their ear picks it up . Maybe someone doesn't like the sound of piano therefore they find classical music trash and boring .

Agreed. Music is people expressing their opinions. No matter how many people judge you, if that's what you like as music, then that's your opinion you're expressing.

Compare an orchestra to fingernales on a chalk board? Which would consider more enjoyable? Music. Noise.

Music is an arrangement of noises interpreted by the brain. The judgement between the two often depends upon intention of arrangement (are the noises being made on purpose?) and personal taste (are the noises being made pleasant to a listener or unpleasant?).
