think of the inequality like a greedy alligator who always bites the biggest one. In that case the inequality is saying that X is less than 2 so you need to find a number that is less than 2. 5 is not less than 2 so that's not it. 2.6 is not less than 2 so that's not it 2 is not less than so that's not it. 0.8 is less than 2 1 is less than 2 1.5 is less than 2 so the solution set is {0.8,1,1.5}
