which point is on the graph of the equation y-2= -1/2(x-5)

OpenStudy (radar):

(5,2)

OpenStudy (radar):

Do you have some? points to check out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes... (-5,-2) (5,2) (-1/2,2) (2,5)

OpenStudy (radar):

well well, they have mine there also. I like that one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get it?

OpenStudy (radar):

I just picked a value of x letting it = 5 so the right hand side became 0, then y-2 =0 making y =2 so that was the easiest one for me, you do realize there are millions and millions of points that fall on that line. I just picked one, and so did the author of that problem. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo wait i am starting to get it..i just forgot how to do it but now im ok

OpenStudy (radar):

Since the question ask for which point (singular), I would not check the rest, but if it had been worded Which points (plural), I would of checked all of them.

OpenStudy (radar):

Good luck with these.
