Killing yourself seems a little over dramatic. Head lice feed off of blood. Which causes the itching you get. It's because the little buggers are noming on your skin sucking your blood. They lay their eggs on hair strands waiting to hatch. There's multiple ways to get rid of head lice.
lice killing shampoo
dying your hair
shaving it all off (not many people would do)
or leaving conditioner in your hair for a while (suffocates them)
then you'd comb the knits out as well as the living bugs.
