Using the image below, find the y value for the point that divides the line segment CD into a ratio of 4:1. ___________________________ Turn the ratio into a fraction. 4 + 1 = 5 5/1 = 5. ----------------------- Now find the segment points. D(5, 1) C(9, 6) We're going from C --> D. The difference in our x terms is: 4 The difference in our y terms is: 5 Now multiply both by 1/5 x = 0.8 y = 1 (Stumped here. Did something wrong. Dunno what)
