What is the area of the brain that deals with memories

OpenStudy (mazefordays090):

There are many parts of the brain that deal with memory because it is processed in multiple areas. That being said, the hippocampus plays a pivotal role in long term memory, and people who have memory dysfunctions tend to have problems in this area of the brain. On the other hand, concentration is mostly controlled in the left hemisphere of the brain. A great reference site to see and check out is www.brainmadesimple.com. This website is extremely well organized and you can see the different functions of all parts of the brain, including the left hemisphere and the hippocampus.
