"Complementary event" of 'A' means the opposite of 'A' or "not A'. In this case they ask for the complement of "an odd number" which means "Not an odd number" or "The opposite of odd numbers." i.e.: "All the even numbers." The answer is (D). If you needed the probability (not asked for here but good to know how to do it): There are 4 even numbers (2,4,6 and 8) our of 8 possibilities. So the probability is \[\frac{4}{8} = \frac{1}{2}\] or 50%

so D.?

Yes.
