PLEASE HELP! MEDAL AND FAN TO BEST ANSWER! What is (are) the x-intercept(s) of the graph?

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

OpenStudy (barrelracer011):

The x incercept is -4

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

how do you know?

OpenStudy (barrelracer011):

The line passes over the -4 on the x axis and thats the only number it passes over.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

There are 3 x intercepts on that graph. the x intercept is the point where the graph crosses the x axis.

OpenStudy (barrelracer011):

Yes but there is only one point where it passes it directly @Mertsj

OpenStudy (barrelracer011):

and that is -4 @Mertsj

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Please explain! I'm confused. So what are the x-intercepts? How do you find them?
