What is 34% of 50? A. 7 B. 17 C. 34 D. 68

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf {\color{red}{ a}}\%\ of \ b=\cfrac{{\color{red}{ a}}}{100}\times b\qquad \qquad {\color{red}{ 30}}\%\ of \ 50=\cfrac{{\color{red}{ 30}}}{100}\times 50\)

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

If in 100 parts it is 34 then in 50 parts it should be half that amount, that is 17. Which can be calculated from the formulae @jdoe0001 posted above. :D
