What is the difference between wet deposition and dry deposition?

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

Ones wet ones dry

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

LOL hold on :)

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

The difference between wet and dry deposition are factors that are considered in aerosol physics. In aerosol physics, deposition is defined as the process by which aerosol particles collect or deposit themselves on solid surfaces. When the particles are deposited by wet deposition, the particles are scavenged by snow, rain drops, and other methods of precipitation. In dry deposition, the causes of the deposition can be sedimentation, interception, impaction, diffusion, turbulence, or one of several other causes. ~ask
