what effect did the Texans defense of the Alamo have on Texans fight for independence PLEASE HELP!

It was a morale victory for the Texans. Even though they lost the battle, they killed a lot more Mexicans then they lost. It was a huge confidence booster for the other troops, and it helped lead them to their eventual victory. A classic "Lost the battle but won the war" type scenario.
