If a mechanic charged a customer for 1 hour but completed the work in 35 minutes, what is the percentage for his productivity?
I would be questioning his honesty! Now what would be his percentage of productivity ?? If 60 minutes is considered the norm, then 60 minutes might be considered 100 per cent production. If he took longer, then his productivity would be less. Now how to handle it when he completes it in less than the allotted time. If he did it in 30 minutes that would be 1/2 the time, but I am hard pressed to say his productivity is 50%. Let me ponder this.
What is your idea on this?
I am thinking it would be 1.23% compared to .81% because from the companies perspective, they made a profit because they took less time than they thought they would but still got the profit.
I agree it would exceed 100%, I would go with 158% as .58 X 60= 35 But this is only a guess.
We were thinking 1.23% from the companies perspective.
