Thoreau does tell us to live "deliberately", to examine what we do and why we do it. He challenges us to think about those who have labored so that we can thrive. He tells us not to get too caught up in the mundane tasks we set for ourselves, or in the opinions and prejudices of others. Instead, we must realize our unlimited potential, "our infinite dawn".
