Which change did not occur in the United States in the late 1800s? A. less expensive factory-made clothing and appliances B. more time for leisure activities C. new technology on farms D. an end to child labor
A-C were all things that happened in the late 1800s. New processes were introduced that reduced the time needed to make things and production was more efficient. In late 1800s, people were granted more time than their ancestors, now with all the inventions being created. And C, products like John Deere's plow were created to help with farming. If I do recall correctly, it would have to be D because child labor was not officially ended until federal regulation was approved of, which happened in the early 1900s.
