Homework help please :( An observer (O) is located 500 feet from a school (S). The observer notices a bird (B) flying at a 39° angle of elevation from his line of sight. How high is the bird flying over the school?

It would seem to be a trig problem. You might solve\[\tan(39^o)=\frac{x}{500}\]After you look up or get the tangent value from your calculator, it wouldn't seem to be too hard a problem.
