wny would brymothymol blue change color with the addtion of a acidic solution?

bromothymol blue has a relatively "basic" pH range, I think its w/in the confines of 6-7.5ish? Simply knowing that, it should tell you that it is an indicator testing for weak acids and bases. Depending on the colour change you get, it would give you a good approximation of the pH of that solution.
