Which statement best describes how including the points (3.5, 0.8), (4, 0.5), (4.5, 0.2), (5, 0.2), (5.5, 0.2) and (6, 0.2) would affect the graph? A. The graph would become linear. B. The graph would become parallel to y-axis. C. The function representing the graph would become exponential. D. The function representing the graph would become parallel to y-axis.
What do you think?
u can freely remove A from choices
and u can clearly c that the y value is becoming a constant in the end points..
if it's exponential then the y value should keep changing... but it has become a constant ... So u can remove C too
so it's should be B or D
I think the answer should be B because the function never becomes parallel to y-axis as x never becomes zero and if you plot the graph, it would at one point become parallel to y-axis. You can try this link for plotting the graph virtually .. http://my.hrw.com/math06_07/nsmedia/tools/Graph_Calculator/graphCalc.html
And the rest of the options won't fit the bill, you can infer that as SURU told.
Also, x doesn't become constant at any point, that is it doesn't become an equation of the form x=k, where k is any constant, including zero.
yeah!! i was going for the same spot.... IT's B
