move 3x to the left side 5x-3x-10=20 2x-10=20 add 10 to both sides 2x=30 divide both sides by 2 x=15

Assuming that the given figure is told to be a parallelogram, you can proceed as Abdul told, it would be then true becaues the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. Then you solve just as Abdul does and find out the value of x to find out the length of ED.
