The two figures shown below are congruent. Identify the corresponding sides and angles. Please help I got this wrong and need to understand. See pic attached.

sp and bc i think
I did angle A corresponds to angle S and it wasn't right? so confused.
@hba
thanks:)

no idea :(

rotate the figure on the right 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Now they should match up.
But I wrote Angle A corresponds to angle S for angles and same for sides and I got them wrong?
This is what my teacher said. what angles would be matched? What sides? You haven't labeled them quite right.

If you have to, draw the diagram on a piece of paper (or print it), cut out the shapes, and rotate them so you can see this directly.
So A corresponds to R? for angles and so on. And AB corresponds RS for sides
Look at it this way: D is the sharpest point on the figure on the left. Q is the sharpest point on the figure on the right. So D and Q correspond. A is the point to the left of D, going counter clockwise. The corresponding point on the right is the one to the left of Q, going counter clockwise, which is R. Therefore, A and R correspond. Etc.
ok just sec reading it.
If I am labeling them right. D corresponds to Q A corresponds to R B Corresponds to S C corresponds to P These are right for the angles? and correctly written?
Yes.
Sides are like this? AD correspond to RQ BC correspond to RS DC correspond to QP AB Correspond to RS
Well, you switched the ordering of some of the letters on the sides. Whether that matters or not, I can't say, but if you have the order consistent, you don't have to worry about whether it matters. Actually, you've got one completely wrong...
Which one?
Looking at your previous table: D corresponds to Q A corresponds to R B Corresponds to S C corresponds to P It should be easy to convert something like AD to the corresponding label. A corresponds to R D corresponds to Q AD = RQ
Go through and work them all out again. I think we both agree you could use the practice, right? :-)
One last thing? So when labeling the sides I AD corresponds to RQ to label sides? And yes practice :(
These are the sides? D corresponds to Q A corresponds to R B Corresponds to S C corresponds to P
No, that's a table of corresponding angles (or vertices). The sides will be AD corresponds to RQ etc.
Oh yeah of course. what was I thinking... I guess not thinking. :(
Thank you so much for your help @whpalmer4
Where are you going? I want to see the table of corresponding sides you've correctly constructed...
ohhh ok
AD corresponds to RQ BC corresponds to SP AB corresponds to RS DC corresponds to QP
@whpalmer4
very good!
yeah!!! You have always been the best teacher:) thanks!!
tough love, baby :-)
so thankful you have noooooooo idea.
I need help two please help
