The rollercoaster will run from right to left, so work in that order when selecting points. 1st point:____ 2nd point:____ 3rd point:____ Using those points as zeros, construct the polynomial function, f(x), that will be the path of your rollercoaster. Show all of your work. Using two of the theorems dicussed in the lesson, prove to the construction foreman that your function matches your graph. Use complete sentences. Solve for the y–intercept for your function, f(x), and then construct a rough graph of your rollercoaster. If your y–intercept is off the graph, give the coordinat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have the first two answer down already i just need help with the third and forth one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if it help any the lesson im working on is solving polynomial equation

can somebody help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.) 1st point:8 2nd point:-4 3rd point:-12 2.0 f(x)=x^3+8x^2-80x-384

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

I think I have seen this question on OS before. There was also a graph showing the position of buildings. Can you upload that picture ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i can try hold on a sec @LastDayWork

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me know if your able to see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you think you can help me with this last two question

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

"Using two of the theorems dicussed in the lesson" This might be difficult to answer as I don't know what theorems you have learned. "Solve for the y–intercept for your function, f(x), and then construct a rough graph of your rollercoaster. If your y–intercept is off the graph, give the coordinat" y intercept = f(0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a factor theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the remainder theorem

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

Okay, you can use factor theorem and remainder theorem to answer the third question. f(8) = f(-4) = f(-12) = 0 Implies (x-8) , (x+4) , (x+12) are factors of f(x). Implies f(x) cuts the x-axis at 8, -4, -12 You can explain this ^^ using complete sentences :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait how would i word this because what you did got me kinda confused

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

Do you know how to draw a tentative graph for f(x) ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not really..i suck at math unfortunately

OpenStudy (lastdaywork):

@agent0smith Can you please help here ? I have to go to sleep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith are you going to try to help me

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

What is left?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help with the third question and the forth on as well

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

"Using two of the theorems dicussed in the lesson, prove to the construction foreman that your function matches your graph. Use complete sentences." can't answer that w/o knowing about your class Solve for the y–intercept for your function, f(x), and then construct a rough graph of your rollercoaster. If your y–intercept is off the graph, give the coordinat y intercept is when x=0, so plug that into your function
