The Age of Enlightenment brought about a big change to world especially France. People began to base a number of different things on reason and logic as opposed to their faith and countless traditions. Also after years of oppression and a growing divide between the rich and the poor, the poor finally decided they had enough and this was caused various revolutions around the world.Another primary cause of revolutions were revolutions themselves. Think of it like a chain reaction; first one country has a successful revolution, which inspires another country, which in turn inspires another country, so on and so forth (the current revolutions in the Middle East is a primary example of this trend in the modern world, while the French revolution is an example of this is a less modern sense).
