What is the Wilderness of Wyrral? How is it significant in the poem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the poem?

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight @Michelle27

During his journey through the Wilderness of Wyrral, Gawain meets up with a variety of different problems. They are for the most part either animals or mystical beasts; wolves, bulls, and bears... giants and dragons. Warrior that he is, he defeats them all, but is almost defeated himself by nature and the bitter cold that accompanies the winter- I found that off the internet, but I read this book like not too long ago for school and that sounds right. I just wanted to give you an educated answer.

A very reputable cite. You could also potentially look on Sparknotes.com It can give you a thorough explanation of your questions. It includes a break down of the setting, plot, characters, etc.
