Can someone help me with a set of math questions please (Algebra to be specific). Just let me know if you can then I will message you. Thank You

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I might be able too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just throw em on here. Someone (maybe me) will help.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd be happy to help, but would much prefer that you post your math problem here (not in a private message). Please post the problem (only); anyone who can and wants to help will then help you.

I'll help you out just let me know what you need.!

I need help with this math question Which of the following is equal to (2x/3 -7) + 7? A. (2X-7) + 21 B. 2x-21/3 C. 3x/2 D. 2x/3 Oh and can you help me through it step by step, rather than just giving me the answer? Thank You

OpenStudy (mathmale):

In this case you can simply remove the parentheses and combine the like terms. What's left?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you combine -7 and positive 7 right? So now your left with 2x/3?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Exactly, and that's the result you wanted. :)

Thank You! One more? Which expression represents the perimeter of the rectangle above? A. 6x+3 B. 10x+6 C. 8x^2+6x D. 12x+6

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd bet you can do this one. Let the length of your rectangle be L = 4x+3. Let the width be W = 2x. Write the equation of the perimeter in terms of L and W. Then substitute the expression sin x for L and W and simplify the result.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(4x+3) + 2(2x) Simplifying.... 8x+6 + 4x Although this is not an option :/

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Look carefully at your final expression. I see you have two similar terms (in x) which you have not yet combined. Please combine them. Thanks for showing your work.

12x+6 Thank You!!
