You are over complicating it for yourself,

C(500) gives you the total cost to produce the 500 news papers in dollars, you just need to subtract C(500) by your revenue to get a profit.

Also for the future, Go to settings, http://i.imgur.com/BZDPHMZ.png and change the the hot key for the one I selected to something you can remember. Then use that to screen shot your questions.
